The Tsukiji Social Club
~ 720th Military Police Battalion Reunion Association, Inc. ~

For those of you who are not familiar with the name, the association veterans from the Occuiped Japan era of 1945-1955, formed the club becuase many of the members are getting up in years and they wanted to meet at least once a year with the time they have remaining. Many of them also served in 1950 when C Company was redesignated in Japan as the X Corps MP Company and sent to Korea when the war started. The name Ysukiji was chosen for the large commercial fish market that was located next to Camp Burness in Tokyo.

Their annual reunions are held in Oklahoma City where the veterans and their families and friends, gather to socialize and reminisce about their days in Tokyo and Korea. Most of the club members are also active association members. Mac McArdle, (C Company 1949-1950), organized the group and is the editor of their newsletters. As young soldiers we were always instructed when overseas to act accordingly because we were looked upon by the indigenous peoples as the first line diplomatic representatives of our country. These gentlemen are the Reunion Association’s Senior Diplomat Corps, Soldiers Of The Gauntlet and veterans of Occupied Japan 1945-1955.
