On 28 October 1968 CSM Morrow was assigned to replace CSM Ralf W. Heimbuecher who was seriously injured and hospitalized. CSM Morrow served with the Battalion from 28 October 1968 through October 1969 when CSM William J. Wilkinson replaced him. |

His next duty assignment was Fort Belvoir, Virginia where he served until June 30, 1974 when he retired after 27 years of service. He joined the Metro Transit Police in Washington, D.C. and in 1990 was appointed as the Chief of Police and served until retirement in July 1995.
