In 1969 with the implementation of the intensified Vietnamization Program, the term Zones were redesignated as Military Regions, the numerical designations of I, II, III, & IV remained the same as did the boundaries. From 1970-1972, the 720th MP Battalion's three letter companies were responsible for U.S. military police support throughout Regions III (Saigon Security Ring) & IV (Mekong Delta). |
